Collection: Grace McCarthy

Grace McCarthy works from her studio in North Acton. Originally trained in Three Dimensional Design at Camberwell College of Art, Grace went on to develop her ceramics practice at Clay College in Stoke, where she was among the first cohort of students on the two-year programme taught by full-time potters.

Her work is shaped by the raw qualities of clay and the transformative nature of firing — exploring the relationship between material and process through electric, gas, and wood firing techniques. The result is a body of functional pottery that quietly lives in the home: considered forms that capture the energy of making.
