Lucia Ocejo is a London-based potter trained in sculpture and originally from Mexico City. Currently Studio Manager of Crown Works Pottery, she produces her personal work and teaches wheel-throwing courses for all levels.
She specialises in production pottery and has supplied fine dining tableware to several London restaurants including KOL, GOLD, St. Clair's, and Pophams. Lucia is passionate about incorporating her sculptural background with her ability on the potter's wheel, and finds the history of ceramics — and its unique relationship between people and place — incredibly compelling.
Drawing on her Mexican cultural identity, she developed the 'Aortic' series, exploring her own nomadism as a young Mexican artist working abroad.
