The Onsen Abstract Vase is a one-of-a-kind decorative vessel, hand-sculpted by De La Jardin from paper fibre clay made using discarded paper and card waste.
Inspired by the Japanese word for a hot spring, Onsen brings vibrant abstract colour and a calm, tactile presence to a shelf, mantelpiece or table. Each piece is hand-painted with a softly worn, textured matt finish and is made slowly, one at a time.
Jacqueline de la Fuente of De La Jardin works with locally sourced egg cartons, post and cardboard packaging, transforming everyday waste into sculptural objects with a fresh take on ceramics. Display on its own or style with dried flowers.

Handmade by Jacqueline in her garden studio near Norwich, De La Jardin’s sculptural vases and objects transform humble papier-mâché into distinctive pieces for the home. Each piece is individually crafted, celebrating the material’s texture and the character of the handmade.⠋
