The uncanny two-legged tables explore an interdependent relationship in which a cast stone base supports its ash wood top. The startling yet subtle joining of the two contrasting elements makes dramatic use of their material qualities to bring unexpected stability to the furniture pieces. This results in a visual language of balance and poise which determines the identity of the collection.
Materials: Solid American ash or maple, mixed aggregate cast marble stone.
Handmade in London, Desmond Lim’s furniture combines sculptural forms with cast stone elements, bringing texture and character to functional pieces for the home. Each design offers a balance of everyday purpose and visual interest, with a material presence that makes it as much an object to appreciate as a piece to use.
Dispatch Time: Desmond Lim furniture is handcrafted to order, so please allow 4 - 6 weeks from purchase for your item to be made and ready to ship.
