Beautiful slip cast vase with colourful terrazzo chunks embedded in the porcelain. The terrazzo techniques derive from 18th century Venice when mosaic workers discovered a way to reuse marble remnants.

Detailed Description
Terrazzo-Vase-V explores centuries-old terrazzo production techniques by using porcelain as an exciting new material. The coloured chips are pre-made using a marbling technique. Later, Natascha Madeiski integrates them into the slip casting process to blend with the main body. Each vase only reveals colours and its unique patterns after she sands them down.
Natascha makes these terrazzo vases by hand to order. As a result, there will be slight variations in the patterns and colours between each vase.
