Kirsty Jay Anderson graduated from Grays School of Art in Aberdeen. During the past 10 years, she has changed direction in what she makes, moving from textiles to ceramics.
Her ceramics are inspired by nature and the path it leaves behind on the landscape. The vessels themselves are simple shapes taken from Kirsty’s interest in the aesthetics of objects from the past – milk churns, chemistry beakers and enamel wear. These shapes will continue to inform each other as she develops her practice.
