PEDRA Wall hanging is inspired by the handweaving heritage of Sardinia, where the weaver, Carla Cabiddu, was born. The tapestry is a contemporary abstraction of the landscape and the island’s culture. Each piece is crafted by hand using an organic process to create unique subtle variations.

PEDRA Wall hanging takes inspiration from the beauty of everyday objects and the Mediterranean way of life. Carla Cabiddu’s designs often go against the geometric nature of weaving. As a result, they embrace organic lines as forms of expression and individuality.

Carla Cabiddu
Carla Cabiddu is a weaver and designer based in Shrewsbury. Born in Sardinia, Carla started her practice as a way of connecting with the island’s weaving heritage – translating traditional techniques into contemporary designs. Inspired by the beauty of everyday objects and the Mediterranean way of life.
