Borja Moronta
About
Borja Moronta, from Asturias in northern Spain, settled in Edinburgh in 2016. He started making pottery two years later, while recovering from surgery to repair nerve damage to his left hand.
Today, working from his studio in the Abbeymount area of the city, Borja makes ceramics that follow basic, calmed and natural forms on a soft tone palette. Each piece is made by hand on the potter’s wheel.
