Ellen graduated from the Textiles Masters course at the Royal College of Art in 2019, since then she has been establishing herself as an independent textile maker, using sustainable methods to create her textiles. This circular way of making, linking the source of her inspiration to the final outcome is the main philosophy of her practice; keeping a direct dialogue with the environment. Each piece combines textiles with mark making, they are abstract interpretations of the natural world, inspired by the changing seasons, looking at colour, texture and composition.
